The construction of the Ram Mandir has been a long and controversial process. The site of the temple was originally occupied by the Babri Masjid, a mosque that was built in the 16th century. In 2019, the Supreme Court of India ruled that the disputed land belonged to Hindus and that a Ram temple could be built there. The construction of the temple began in August 2020.

The temple will be made of sandstone and will have three floors.
